What ArtStudy is

ArtStudy is a free educational and entertainment game for learning to recognize painters and art styles. The core game is free; an optional paid subscription unlocks extra features. It is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, and may change or be unavailable at times.

Accounts

Signing in is optional and exists only to save your own progress. Keep your sign-in method secure — you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the avatar menu.

When you create an account, we store the email address from your sign-in method (Google, Apple, X, or the email you enter) to secure your account and send one-time login codes and, only if you tick the box at sign-up, occasional streak reminders and product news. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We don’t sell your email or share it for others’ marketing.

Subscriptions & payments

ArtStudy Premium is an optional paid subscription that unlocks features such as friend battles, hard mode, unlimited non-stop play, and detailed personal stats. It is offered at $2.99 per month or $24 per year and is billed through Stripe. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the period you have already paid for ends. Prices may change for future periods.

Images and attribution

Painting reproductions are shown for educational purposes and come from Wikimedia Commons (public-domain and freely-licensed works) and from museum open-access collections including the Art Institute of Chicago and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Rights to each image remain with its source under its respective licence; ArtStudy claims no ownership of the artworks.

Acceptable use

Please don’t abuse the service — no automated scraping, attempts to overload it, or misuse of friend-battle links or the leaderboards. Accounts exist only to save your own progress.

Liability

ArtStudy and its author are not liable for any damages arising from use of the site, nor for the accuracy of attributions, titles, or descriptions (which are drawn from third-party data and may contain errors). Spotted a mistake or have a question? Use the feedback button on any page.
